Description
We want to make our business as transparent as possible and tell you how, by purchasing the products, you can be sure that your money goes to eco-friendly manufacturing. The knit fabric is created by knitting machines in Kangasala, Finland. There are 14 machines that produce different types of knitwear for different needs. Tam-Silk, the mill that makes the wool silk fabric, is a 90 year old company that seeks to capitalize on its history. The fabric for the Tyyne trousers are made here with one of the machines. The Tyyne trousers are made with silk and wool yarns.
Yarn come from partners in Germany and Italy. These partners spin yarns from raw materials purchased from around the world. A significant part of the yarn materials come from Australia, New Zealand and Argentina. We buy yarns within the EU because we can trust our partners to operate in accordance with EU regulations. Threads are Oekotex certified.
Some of the wool silk used comes from Australia and the yarn suppliers are working to ensure that no Mulesing wool is included, but so far they have been unable to provide complete assurance. Find out about the other production processes and places from MUKA VA here.
